The fifth edition of the Pep Summer Camp, held once again at the magnificent facilities of the Hotel Condes del Pallars in Rialp (Lleida), was a huge success. A total of 708 children, divided into three shifts, enjoyed not only the knowledge and experience of their football coaches but also a series of fascinating talks by the visitors, beyond the sporting sphere.

Former footballer Pablo Zabaleta, a legend of Manchester City and Argentine football, was the first to visit the Lleida region to spend time with the camp participants. Zabaleta took photos with all the children, answered their questions in a very engaging manner and shared some of his lesser-known experiences from his time as a player and now as a coach.

Likewise, other people contributed greatly, such as the team from Xylem by raising awareness among the participants about the proper water treatment and use; Eduard Torras, president of Sport2Live, an organization partnered with the Guardiola Sala Foundation that designs sports programs to help young people at risk of social exclusion; former soccer player Javi Sánchez, who taught the children how to overcome, live with and learn from their mistakes in the game; and nutritionist Lara Vílchez, who advised them on what, how and when a good athlete should eat.
