After six consecutive titles by Alain Boghossian – the big dominator of the tournament –  italian Gianfranco Zola, with a superb display of golf, defeated the former French footballer. Zola, who had previously finished second and third in the last two editions, led the table ahead of Kenneth Perez in second place, Juan Ugarte in third, and the aforementioned Boghossian, who finished fourth.

The eighth edition of the tournament, which returned to the magnificent facilities of Empordà Golf, welcomed several prestigious newcomers: Frenchmen Alain Roche and Frédéric Déhu, Romanian Cosmin Contra, Czech Patrik Berger, Swiss Blerim Dzemaili and Dutch coach Pepijn Lijnders.

And for the first time in the eight editions of the Legends Trophy, the event’s host, Pep Guardiola, claimed victory in the Pro-Am competition. He was joined by professional golfer Manu Elvira, who made an outstanding performance, Pepijn Lijnders, and his son, Màrius.
