La Cursa Montilivi is the third sporting event created by the Guardiola Sala Foundation to raise funds for disadvantaged families at risk of social exclusion.

The first edition was held on Sunday, November 27^th, with a notable success in terms of participation, since 800 participants ran through a magnificent track, alternating asphalt and mud, which begins and ends at the Girona FC football stadium and visits the most emblematic places of the city.

The Guardiola Sala Foundation organizes the race with the close collaboration of the Girona City Council and Girona FC and with the sponsorship of La Caixa Foundation, which also provides the invaluable support of its volunteers.

The proceeds from the race go to an NGO in the province of Gerona. The first beneficiary was the Casal d’Infants de Salt.
