Stones surprises 210 homeless footballers

-

John Stones was the main attraction of the new edition of the Partnership Trophy, the charity football tournament starring homeless organized by The Salvation Army with the collaboration of the Guardiola Sala Foundation. With his presence, the Manchester City and English National Team defender surprised the 210 participants from 28 teams from different The Salvation Army shelters, as Pep Guardiola and Erik ten Hag, coaches of City and United, did in previous editions. Stones dedicated a few words of encouragement and signed autographs and took a picture with all of them.

Legendary goalkeeper Peter Shilton, the player with the most calls to the National Team, also visited the participants and admitted to having lost a lot of money due to his addictions over 45 years, which he kept a secret until he met his new wife in 2016. The patrons Manel Estiarte, who accompanied John Stones, and Laura Guerra were the representatives of the Guardiola Sala Foundation, which, among other sty, provided a t-shirt, a cap and a reusable water bottle for each player and the Puma balls for the tournament.
