The FGS receives the ‘Values’ award from Aspasim in the Sarrià Mile

-

The president of the Guardiola Sala Foundation, Pere Guardiola, and the patrons Olga Guardiola and Laura Guerra, as well as direct family members and colleagues of the foundation, participated for the fourth time in Barcelona in the ‘We run together’ test, popularly known as ‘La Milla de Sarrià’ (Sarrià Mile). And this year celebrated its thirteenth edition.

‘La Milla de Sarrià’ is an inclusive and supportive race for all categories, from children to masters, and in which disabled athletes are the main protagonists, participating accompanied by athletes and relevant people from Barcelona society.

This year’s edition, however, has been very special for everyone in the Guardiola Sala Foundation family, as we received a very emotional surprise at the end of the awards ceremony. The Aspasim Foundation, the race organizer, which has been dedicated for over 80 years to promoting the well-being and social integration of people with severe intellectual disabilities, awarded us the ‘Values’ prize, among many other reasons, for “believing in people and making the world a better place,” for our “commitment, approachability, and trust,” and for “being able to call and know they will always answer,” in the words of Anna Seguí, Strategy Director of Aspasim.

In addition to participating in the different races and providing gifts for the attendees, the president of the Guardiola Sala Foundation, Pere Guardiola, was present at the awards ceremony.
