On Sunday, April 28, the second edition of the Cursa Montilivi was held with great success. There were more than 1,000 registrations: 1,014 participants in the two races of 5 and 10 km.
Thanks to this massive participation, a total of 9,000 euros was raised, which, like last year, was donated to the Casal d’Infants de Salt. Pere Guardiola, president of the Guardiola Sala Foundation and a runner in the 10 km race, and Josep Maria González, Territorial Director of CaixaBank in Catalonia, presented the check to the director of the Casal, Mònica Gibanel. The president of Girona FC, Delfí Geli, and Àdam Bertran, Councilor for Sports and Youth of the Girona City Council, also took part in the awards ceremony.
The winners, who received a trophy, a Girona FC t-shirt, and a set of Torrons Vicens, were Nick Cusseners and Alba Batlle in the 10 km race, and Raúl Caparrós and Anna Pallarés in the 5 km.
Despite the rain at some points during the race, the atmosphere was fantastic, largely due to the circuit, which the runners really enjoyed, and especially because of the extraordinary moment that the Montilivi club were experiencing, being very close to qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League.
