The favorite to win the Legends Trophy, Frenchman Alain Boghossian, confirmed the predictions and won the sixth edition of the tournament held at Empordà Golf (Girona). This marks five consecutive titles for ‘Bogho,’ the tournament’s great dominator. However, the former 1998 World Cup champion had to work hard to lift the trophy, as he was only one shot ahead of the second-placed player, Italian Gianfranco Zola, and two shots ahead of the third-placed player, Danish Kenneth Perez.
In addition to the host, Pep Guardiola, other football legends such as Ruud Gullit, Gabriel Batistuta, Michel Platini, Bernd Schuster, and Ronald de Boer, as well as notable Spanish former players like Txiki Begiristain, Aritz Aduriz, Miquel Àngel Nadal, ‘Mista,’ and Paco Jémez, participated in the tournament.
The day before, the former footballers played in a Pro-Am with professional golfers, other athletes, and well-known personalities. For the first time, the winning Pro-Am team was led by women, with professional golf players Elia Folch and Laura Gómez leading former soccer players Miquel Àngel Nadal and Paco Jémez to victory in the sixth edition of the Pro-Am Legends Trophy.
The official dinner of the tournament was hosted by Nandu Jubany, one of the best chefs in the world.
